29 CFR 1910.134(k)(1): The employer did not provide effective training that covered the required elements in 1910.134(k)(1)(i) through 1910.134(k)(1)(vii): Location: Mirion Technologies (Capintec), Inc., 7 Vreeland Road, Florham Park, NJ a) The employer did not train employees required to wear respirators such as, but not limited to, N95 and Half Mask negative pressure respirators. On May 8, 2023, an employee sanding shielding materials in the machine room was exposed to respirable lead concentrations of 120 micrograms per cubic meter of air as an 8 hour Time Weighted Average exceeding the Permissible Exposure Limit (PEL) of 50 micrograms per cubic meter of air by 2.4 times. Zero exposure was assumed for the unsampled period of 66 minutes. The shielding material used contained 99.99 percent lead. Violation occurred on or about May 8, 2023.
