29 CFR 1910.217(f)(2): Operators were not trained and instructed in the safe method of work before starting work on mechanical power presses: (a) Perry Tool & Die Co. at 11606 Reed Ct., Broomfield, CO 80020: On and before June 23, 2017 the employer did not ensure employees that operated full revolution, mechanical power presses (punch presses) were trained and instructed in the safe operation of the equipment. The employer shall ensure by adequate supervision that correct operating procedures are being followed. Employees operate the Perkins Machine Company mechanical punch press model 300-B in the shop. This condition exposed employees to amputation hazards when operating the mechanical power press.
