29 CFR 1910.134(h)(1): Respirators were not cleaned and disinfected using the procedures in Appendix B-2 of 29 CFR 1910.134 or equivalent procedures recommended by the respirator manufacturer: a) Facility The employer did not ensure that respirators were cleaned and disinfected in accordance with Appendix B-2 or respirator manufacturer for employees required to wear respirators such as, but not limited to, 3M half face and full face respirators while melting and casting lead. The inside of employee's half face respirator contained 67.6 micrograms and 146 micrograms of lead. The inside of employee's full face respirators contained 806 micrograms and 1,011 micrograms of lead. Violation occurred on or about March 3, 2024.
