29 CFR 1910.134(k): The employer did not provide comprehensive, understandable training which did not occur annually and/or more often if necessary: (a) On or about 12/27/19 at 350 Dewitt Avenue Brooklyn, NY 11207 Employees in the plating area mixing chemicals and operating or maintaining the degreaser, still, and lacquer stripper were required by management to wear a 3M half-face tight fitting respirator without being provided respirator training. (b) On or about 12/27/19 at 350 Dewitt Avenue Brooklyn, NY 11207 Employees spraying hardware with glosses, lacquers, and industrial baking enamels were mandated by the employer to wear a 3M half-face tight fitting respirator without being provided respirator training. NOTE: THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT CERTIFICATION OF ABATEMENT FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY MAY RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY.
