29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1): The employer did not provide employees with effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment. On or about October 12, 2016 the employer did not provide affected employees with hazard communication program training where employees in the deli department were exposed to commercial cleaning chemicals including but not limited to, "KAY" Dazzle cleaner and polish, "Kay" pot and pan detergent, "KAY" Kayquat, "Kay" multi-surface and glass cleaner, "Laura Lynn" bleach, "KAY" Hawk fryer cleaner/degreaser, "Ecolab" retail chlorinated cleaner, "Ecolab" quaternary disinfectant, "KAY" block whitener, "Ecolab" Victory water additive for pathogen reduction or "Ecolab" Greasestrip Plus. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET).
