Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 003C Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.146(c)(5)(ii)(E):Continuous forced air ventilation shall be used, as follows: (1) An employee may not enter the space until the forced air ventilation has eliminated any hazardous atmosphere; (2) The forced air ventilation shall be so directed as to ventilate the immediate areas where an employee is or will be present within the space and shall continue until all employees have left the space; (3) The air supply for the forced air ventilation shall be from a clean source and may not increase the hazards in the space. On or about October 13, 2024, Employees were exposed to atmospheric hazards when cleaning and sanitizing tankers, and the employer did not used continuous forced air as required by 29 CFR 1910.146(c)(5)(ii)(E)(1)-(3).
