29 CFR 1910.134(f)(2): The employer shall ensure that an employee using a tight-fitting facepiece respirator is fit tested prior to initial use of the respirator, whenever a different respirator facepiece (size, style, model or make) is used, and at least annually thereafter. (a) On or about 02/23/2023, the employer did not provide fit testing prior to requiring the use of respirators for painters who were required to wear 3M tight fitting half face respirators, such as but not limited to 3M 6000 series with 3M 6001 organic vapor and 3M 60921 P100/OV cartridges.
