Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 003C Hazard:
29 CFR 1926.1060(a): The employer shall provide a training program for each employee using ladders and stairways, as necessary. The program shall enable each employee to recognize hazards related to ladders and stairways, and shall train each employee in the procedures to be followed to minimize these hazards. a. On or about October 2, 2019 for the worksite at 619 Ludham Trail NW, Pickerington, Ohio, the employer failed to provide training for two employees who used a ladder for framing carpentry work in the front entry porch area. The ladder was used inappropriately and did not extend three feet above the landing surface of a job made work platform. Due to these conditions, employees were exposed to fall hazards during use of the A-frame ladder.
