29 CFR 1910.37(b)(4): The employer did not ensure that the direction of travel to the exit or exit discharge when not immediately apparent, had signs posted along the exit access indicating the direction of travel to the nearest exit and exit discharge. Additionally, the line-of-sight to an exit sign was not clearly visible at all times: Taylor Pallets & Recycling, Inc., Winder, GA- In the warehouse area, employees were exposed to a fire hazard when the employer did not have signs or other marking that provided clear directions to a safe evacuation route for exiting the warehouse area. The line of sight to an exit was not clearly visible due to stacked boxes and material, on or about May 30, 2019. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF ACTION WORKSHEET), and in addition, documentation demonstrating that abatement is complete must be included with your certification. This documentation may include, but is not limited to, evidence of the purchase or repair of the equipment, photographic or video evidence of abatement, or other written records.
