29 CFR 1910.25(d)(1): The employer did not ensure spiral stairs have a minimum clear width of 26 inches (66 cm): The employer does not ensure spiral stairs have a minimum clear width of twenty-six (26) inches (66 cm). This violation was observed on or about May 30, 2019, in the maintenance shop, where spiral stairs for employee use were less than 26 inches in width and exposes employees to trip and fall hazards. Pursuant to 29 CFR 1903.19, within ten (10) calendar days of the date of this citation, the employer must submit documentation describing the steps taken to ensure width of the spiral stairs have a minimum clear width of 26 inches.
