29 CFR 1910.213(i)(1): All portions of the saw blade shall be enclosed or guarded, except for the working portion of the blade between the bottom of the guide rolls and the table. On 02 February 2018, the employer failed to guard the saw blades on the two Brew Co. E-Z Cut re-saw machines. The blades of the machines were not guarded to prevent employees from inadvertent contact during the operating cycle of the machine, therefore exposing employees to an amputation hazard. Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d).
