29 CFR 1915.154: (cite the general industry standard section in 1910.134 that applies, and enter that standard number on the OSHA 2) Follow the General Industry Standards SAVE with the following statement: "is applicable to shipyard employment by 1915.154 that incorporates the General Industry requirement." 29 CFR 1910.134(a)(1): When effective engineering controls were not feasible or while they were being instituted, appropriate respirators were not used pursuant to the requirements of 29 CFR 1910.134: b)MMF1 Pipe Shop area at column H4/H5: On or about June 3rd, 2014, and prior to, an employee was exposed to copper fume at an 8 hour calculated Time Weighted Average (TWA) of 0.1651 milligrams per cubic meter of air which is 1.651 times the 8 hour time weighted average PEL of 0.100 milligrams per cubic meter of air while conducting welding job tasks utilizing a Miller Dynasty 200 welding machine and were not required to wear a respirator. Results were calculated for a 442 minute sampling period. c)MMF1 Pipe Shop area at column H5: On or about June 3rd, 2014, and prior to, an employee was exposed to copper fume at an 8 hour calculated Time Weighted Average (TWA) of 0.1248 milligrams per cubic meter of air which is 1.248 times the 8 hour time weighted average PEL of 0.100 milligrams per cubic meter of air while conducting welding job tasks utilizing a Miller Dynasty 200 welding machine and were not required to wear a respirator.
