29 CFR 1910.1000(e): Feasible administrative or engineering controls were not determined and implemented to achieve compliance with the limits prescribed in 29 CFR 1910.1000(a) through (d): a) Spray painting area, on or about 3/26/14: An employee spray painting parts with a chromated epoxy polyamide yellow primer was overexposed to chromic acid and chromates at 0.47 milligrams per cubic meter (mg/m3), or 4.7 times the ceiling concentration of 0.1 mg/m3. Suitable administrative controls to reduce exposure were not required during spray painting operations. Abatement certification must be submitted for this item.
