29 CFR 1910.305(g)(1)(iv)(A): Flexible cords and/or cables were used as a substitute for the fixed wiring of a structure: (a) West Building, Buffing OD work area, flexible cord powering the computer at the scan station where employees were using terminals to log in parts was plugged into an extension cord that was zip-tied to a steel eye mounted on top of a cabinet, draped over the steel support for overhead lights, and plugged into a junction box that was suspended by its cord, exposing employees to the hazards of electrical shock. (b) West Building, at a table in the Buffing OD work area, an extension cord powering a Cyber power surge strip was plugged into a suspended 4-plex outlet receptacle, draped over the steel support for overhead lights, and dropped along the wall behind the scan station where employees were logging in parts before polishing, exposing employees to the hazards of electrical shock.
