29 CFR 1926.451(b)(5)(i): The end of a platform 10 feet or less in length, extended over its support more than 12 inches:Note: Does not apply if the platform was designed and installed so that the cantilevered portion of the platform was able to support employees and/or materials without tipping or had guardrails that blocked employee access to the end: On or about February 6, 2013, at the worksite located at 86 Tournay Circle, Little Rock, Arkansas, supported scaffold at the north end of the home being built, the 1st level platform and 2nd level cantilevered platform that employees worked from to perform masonry activities extended approximately 20 inches over its support. This condition exposed employees to falls from elevations.
