29 CFR 1910.135(a)(1): The employer did not ensure that each affected employee wore a protective helmet when working in areas where there was a potential for injury to the head from falling objects: (a) 600 Block of Taylor Road, Windsor, Pennsylvania - The employer used a chain saw to trim and fell trees, and employees worked on the ground exposing employees to overhead hazards from dropped tools, limbs and branches, and the employer did not require and ensure employees used hard hats, on or about December 13, 2012. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and shall state that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
