29 CFR 1910.132(b): Employee-owned equipment. Where employees provide their own protective equipment, the employer did not assure its adequacy, including proper maintenance, and sanitation of such equipment. a) On or about August 10, 11, and 12, 2012, employees engaged in direct attack fireline construction were wearing employee-provided denim and double-knee work pants not rated as fire resistant. Note: Abatement certification is required for this item.
