29 CFR 1926.850(b):The walls or floors were not shored or braced where employee(s) were required to work within a damaged structure to be demolished: a) On or about December 23, 2024, at a worksite located at 1113 V Street NW, Washington, DC, the employer did not ensure that the employees working in the interior of the building had the walls properly braced to prevent them from collapsing while conducting their assigned duties such as removing debris or demolition. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the Certification of Corrective Action Worksheet), in addition, documentation demonstrating the abatement is complete must be included with your certification. This documentation may include but is not limited to evidence of the purchase or repair of the equipment, photographic or video evidence of abatement, or other written records.
