29 CFR 1910.1000(e): Feasible administrative or engineering controls were not determined and implemented to achieve compliance with the limits prescribed in 29 CFR 1910.1000(a) through (d): At the worksite located at 752 NE 72nd Street in Galt, Missouri 64641, on December 12, 2024, and at times prior: Employees enter hog barns to conduct pressure washing activities. The employer had not determined and implemented feasible administrative and engineering controls to limit employee exposure to hydrogen sulfide and other hazardous gases associated with hog barns and manure pits. On December 9, 2024, an employee fatality occurred when the employee entered a barn with a lethal airborne concentration of hydrogen sulfide.
