29 CFR 1910.303(b)(7)(iv): There were damaged parts that may adversely affect safe operation or mechanical strength of the equipment, such as parts that are broken, bent, cut, or deteriorated by corrosion, chemical action or overheating. a) Building 3, Speed Cut, Timber Mill, MH6G - 20, S/N Y0559: On and prior to December 4, 2024, employees worked within three feet of the main power cable which had been spliced with wire nuts and tape. Conductors were visible between the tape and cable jacket. The power cable is a SEOW-A, 4,4, which is rated for a maximum of 600 volts. b) Building 3, Speed Cut, Timber Mill, MH6G - 20, S/N Y0559: On and prior to December 4, 2024, employees worked within three feet of a cable which had a damaged jacket and exposed internal conductors.
