29 CFR 1910.95(k)(1): The employer did not train each employee who is exposed to noise at or above an 8-hour time-weighted average of 85 decibels in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1910.95(k). The employer did not institute a training program and ensure employee participation in the program: At the commercial facility located at 1615 W Arrow Street, in Marshall Missouri 65340, on October 2, 2024, and at times prior: The employer did not provide training on the use of hearing protectors to the sandblasting operators, who were exposed to noise levels at or above the action level while performing sandblasting activities. Employees were exposed to continuous noise levels higher than 85 dBA in the following areas: a) Sandblasting - An employee was exposed to continuous noise level at 421.1% dose of the allowable 8-hour time-weighted average sound level of 85 dBA or an equivalent sound level of approximately 100.3 dBA. The sampling was performed for 358 minutes during one shift.
