29 CFR 1910.147(c)(7)(i)(B): Affected employee(s) was not instructed in the purpose and use of the energy control procedure: Employees engaged in machining activities in the fabrication department shop/area, and throughout the different buildings of the plant were exposed to burn, electrical, struck-by, caught-in and caught-between hazards in that the purpose and use of the energy control procedure training had not been provided to affected employees and all other employees to recognize the hazards of unexpected energization or start-up of the machines or equipment, or release of stored energy, which could harm employees. The employer had not ensured that the affected employee had acquired and retained adequate knowledge and skills for the energy control program and procedure.
