29 CFR 1910.147(c)(7)(i)(A):Each authorized employee shall receive training in the recognition of applicable hazardous energy sources, the type and magnitude of the energy available in the workplace, and the methods and means necessary for energy isolation and control. a. On or about March 25, 2024, employees were performing inspecting and cleaning activities on the screener machine. The employer did not ensure that the employees were trained and familiar with the energy control procedures developed for the machine to ensure that lockout/tagout application steps were applied as authorized level employees.
