Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 003B Hazard:
29 CFR 1926.416(a)(3): Employer did not advise employees of the location of energized electrical power circuits, the hazards involved, and the protective measures to be taken: The employer failed to protect employees from an electrocution hazard. This was most recently documented on February 6, 20 at the jobsite located at 4259 Missouri Highway 13, 2024, when the employer did not advise employees delivering roofing materials of the location of energized overhead power lines, the hazards involved and the protective measures to deenergize, ground or otherwise protect themselves when working near overhead power lines. A truck-mounted conveyor was moved too close to the energized unprotected power line and became a path to ground. An employee attempting to enter the vehicle was shocked and severely burned.
