1910.178(l)(3) Training program content. Powered industrial truck operators shall receive initial training in the following topics, except in topics which the employer can demonstrate are not applicable to safe operation of the truck in the employer's workplace. (l)(3)(ii)(I):Other unique or potentially hazardous environmental conditions in the workplace that could affect safe operation. a) On or about 02/05/2024, employer did not ensure that employees operating forklifts were adequately trained on potentially hazardous conditions such as but not limited to dock safety procedures to include ensuring semi-trucks are chocked and brakes set to prevent semi truck operators from driving off or rolling over chocks while forklift operators are loading the truck. Driving off the docks exposes employees to a 4' drop from the docks in a Hyster(E50XN-33 SN:A268N06609j) forklift.
