29 CFR 1910.107(g)(3): Approved metal waste cans were not provided where rags or waste were impregnated with finishing material were deposited and the contents of those waste cans were not properly disposed of at least once daily or at the end of each shift: A. Spray Finishing Area, Magnum Spray Machine: On, or about, July 14, 2023, waste containers, stir sticks and rags that contained or were used with flammable liquids such as, but not limited to, R7K and mineral spirits, were disposed of into open, plastic waste receptacles. B. Spray Finishing Area, Near Inside Flammable Storage Room: On, or about, July 14, 2023, two uncovered gaylords provided with plastic liners were used to store combustible waste such as, but not limited to, used spray booth filters and rags impregnated with flammable solvents. The gaylords were not emptied daily.
