29 CFR 1910.178(q)(7):Industrial trucks shall be examined before being placed in service, and shall not be placed in service if the examination shows any condition adversely affecting the safety of the vehicle. Such examination shall be made at least daily. Employees were engaged in warehouse activities at a shipping and receiving facility located at 850 Rundell Road, Gering, NE 69341, and were exposed to struck-by hazards in that the powered industrial trucks are not being inspected daily, resulting in several trucks being operated without essential components such as horns and sufficient breaks.
