Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 003B Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1): The employer did not provide employees with effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment, and whenever a new physical or health hazard the employees had not previously been trained about was introduced into their work area: a) Franklin Storage, L.P., 900 Kriner Road, Chambersburg, PA -Company Wide - Employees were engaged in forklift battery charging operations using chemicals including, but not limited to, sulfuric acid. The employer did not provide employees with effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment, and whenever a new physical or health hazard was introduced into their work area, therefore exposing employees to chemical hazards, on or about February 2, 2023. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
