29 CFR 1926.1153(d)(2)(iii)(A): The employer did not perform initial monitoring to assess the 8-hour TWA exposure for each employee on the basis of one or more personal breathing zone air samples that reflect the exposures of employees on each shift, for each job classification, in each work area: a) 152 Bell Ave., Hasbrouck Heights, NJ (Exterior Front of Single Family Frame Home): Employees were engaged in cutting natural cultured stone, and personal breathing zone air samples were not collected to reflect employee exposure to respirable crystalline silica. A bulk sample collected of the cultured stone show a silica content of 30%. The employer did not perform initial monitoring to assess the 8-hour TWA exposure to respirable crystalline silica, on the basis of personal breathing zone samples, on or about 2/2/23.
