29 CFR 1910.184(c)(8): Safe operating practices. Whenever any sling is used, the following practices shall be observed: Suspended loads shall be kept clear of all obstructions. a) On or around February 25, 2022, the employer did not ensure that the designated crane operators operating Building 12 House crane ensured that the slings were kept above the roll storage racks so they did not get caught on the paper machine rolls while moving the crane through the area.
