29 CFR 1910.178(p)(1): Powered industrial truck(s) found to be in need of repair, defective, or in any way unsafe had not been taken out of service until restored to safe operating condition: a) Production Yard Area (Facility - Troy, AL): On or about January 11, 2022, and times prior, the employer failed to take out of service a Hyundai Forklift Truck (Yellow) Model: 180D-9B, Equip.#: 88 and required employees to perform forklift operations while the forklift was in need of repairs such as but not limited to cracked forks, low tire pressure and damaged tires with the metal cords showing; exposing employees to struck-by hazards during forklift operations.
