29 CFR 1910.305(g)(1)(iv) Unless specifically permitted otherwise in paragraph (g)(1)(ii) of this section, flexible cords and cables may not be used: (A): As a substitute for the fixed wiring of a structure. a) On or about December 14, 2021 in the plant manager's office, an unenclosed cable was ran from the side of a light switch to an electrical outlet. b) On or about December 14, 2021 in the entry area directly outside of the plant manager's office, an extension cord was ran from a second floor outlet located on a balcony to a GFCI extension cord, which had a floor cleaner plugged into it.
