29 CFR 1910.1053(j)(1):The employer did not include respirable crystalline silica in the program established to comply with the hazard communication standard (HCS) (29 CFR 1910.1200): On or about June 2, 2021, the employer failed to include hazards associated with respirable crystalline silica in the hazard communication program. A). The cut-off saw operator was exposed to respirable dust containing crystalline silica at 62.3769 ug/m3 which is approximately 1.2475 times the permissible exposure limit (PEL) of 50 ug/m3; exposure calculations included a zero increment for 7 minutes not sampled. At this time employees are being exposed to levels above the PEL.
