29 CFR 1910.147(c)(7)(i)(A): Authorized employee(s) did not receive training in the recognition of applicable hazardous energy sources, the type and magnitude of the energy available in the workplace, and the methods and means necessary for energy isolation: (a) Dick's Sporting Good, Inc. at 31 W Flatiron Crossing Drive in Broomfield, CO: On or before March 30, 2021, the employer did not establish a program consisting of authorized employee training to prevent the unexpected release of hazardous energy of the trash compactor. Operations employees regularly entered the compactor while it was energized to perform servicing, specifically to unjam material that became stuck in the equipment. This condition exposed employees to crushing hazards.
