29 CFR 1910.184(d): Each day before being used, the sling and all fastenings and attachments were not being inspected for damage or defects by a competent person designated by the employer: a. 81 Chimney Rock Rd., Bridgewater, NJ - Maintenance bay The employer did not designate a competent person to complete daily inspections of slings prior to use each day. Employees used chain slings with a 5 ton, Beacon Line Crane to lift and move engines and large vehicle parts, which were not inspected. Violation occurred on or about November 20, 2019
