29 CFR 1910.216(c)(1): Safety tripod, cable, or wire center cord shall be provided across each pair of in-running rolls extending the length of the face of the rolls. It shall be readily accessible and operate whether pushed or pulled. The safety tripping devices shall be located within reach of the operator and the bite. a) Production- Calendar Area, Autoskin Plant: On or before July 19, 2019, and at times prior, the employer exposed employees to caught-in hazards, in that ingoing nip points created by rollers do not have an effective safety cable or wire along the entire length of the face on equipment such as, but not limited to, the Calendar.
