29 CFR 1910.25(c)(2): The employer did not ensure standard stairs have a maximum riser height of 9.5 inches (24 cm): The employer does not ensure standard stairs have a maximum riser height of 9.5 inches. a) This violation was observed on or about May 30, 2019, at the Diamond Back entrance stairway, the first step riser was more than 9.5 inches, exposing employees to trip and fall hazards. Pursuant to 29 CFR 1903.19, within ten (10) calendar days of the date of this citation, the employer must submit documentation describing the steps taken to ensure stair risers are no more than 9.5 inches.
