29 CFR 1910.147(c)(4)(ii)(B): The energy control procedure did not clearly and specifically specific procedural steps for shutting down, isolating, blocking and securing machines or equipment to control hazardous energy: On or about September 27, 2018 , and at times prior to, employees perform maintenance and servicing on various equipment. Employees were exposed to struck by, caught in and amputation hazards when the specific procedures did not contain enough specificity. Deficiencies included but were not limited to the following: a) RESAW - The procedure states, "switching off the machine at the breaker panel", but it does specify which breaker is needed to shut off the equipment. b) GANG SAW - The procedure states, "the breaker on the electrical panel is to be switched OFF and locked out.", but does not indicate which breaker to shut off. c) CHOP SAW - The procedure states "the breaker on the electrical panel is to be switched OFF and locked out", but does specify which breaker to shut off d) BLOWER - The procedure states, " the breaker on the electrical panel is to be switched OFF and locked out", but does not specify which breaker to shut off. e) Gang Saw- The procedures states, "The infeed and outfeed conveyors are controlled by the hydraulic system", but does not indicate how to lock out the hydraulics.
