29 CFR 1910.252(a)(3)(ii): All hollow spaces, cavities or containers were not vented to permit the escape of air or gases before preheating, cutting or welding. a) On or about August 11th, 2018 or prior thereto: Entry was conducted into a 8000 gallon 1988 Beat Tanker DOT classified 306 trailer to weld a baffle. The employer did not evaluate respiratory or explosive hazards inside the tanker prior to entry. b) On or about August 14th, 2018 or prior thereto: Mig welding was conducted on a 8000 gallon 1988 Beat Tanker DOT classified 306 trailer to repair a vapor rail. The employer did not evaluate explosive hazards prior to welding. NOTE: Abatement certification and documentation are required for this item.
