29 CFR 1910.134(k)(1)(iii): The employer did not ensure that each user could demonstrate knowledge of how to use the respirator effectively in emergency situations, including situations in which the respirator malfunctions: a) F/V Pacific Producer, where the employer provided respirators such as, but not limited to, MSA gas masks with ammonia cartridges and self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) to employees for use in the event of emergencies such as, a refrigeration system ammonia leak.
