29 CFR 1910.184(d): Each day before being used, the sling and all fastenings and attachments were not being inspected for damage or defects by a competent person designated by the employer: a) Shop- On or about September 20, 2017, the employer has not been inspecting the slings for defects and damage. Employees were exposed to struck-by hazards and falling stock while hoisting steel materials using worn and damaged slings.
