29 CFR 1910.107(g)(2): All spraying areas are not kept as free from the accumulation of deposits of combustible residues as practical, with cleaning conducted daily if necessary: Employees performing spray painting operations are exposed to fire hazards and the employer fails to ensure that all spray room #9 is kept free from the accumulation of combustible residues. The violation was most recently observed on September 20, 2016. The corrugated sheet metal walls had paint accumulations. To abate this violation, the employer must ensure that all spray areas are cleaned as often as necessary to keep them as free from the accumulation of combustible residues as practical. Pursuant to 29 CFR 1903.19, the employer must submit documents describing the steps it is taking to ensure compliance, including a copy of site-specific program detailing the procedures used to ensure compliance and training of employees.
