Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 003B Hazard:
29 CFR 1926.454(b): The employer shall have each employee who is involved in erecting, disassembling, moving, operating, repairing, maintaining, or inspecting a scaffold trained by a competent person to recognize any hazards associated with the work in question. The training shall include the following topics, as applicable: a. On or before July 14, 2016, the employer did not ensure that an employee performing disassembly of a Bil-Jax fabricated step frame scaffold received scaffold training on the hazards from a competent person, thereby exposing the employee to a fall hazard of over 20 feet.
