29 CFR 1910.23(d)(1): Every flight of stairs having four or more risers will be equipped with standard stair railings or standard handrails as specified in paragraphs (d)(1)(i) through (v) of this section, the width of the stair to be measured clear of all obstructions except handrails: a) On or about June 1, 2016, employer failed to ensure that the fixed industrial stairs that had four or more risers to Warehouse Building 205 was equipped with stair railings on each open side, exposing employees to fall hazards every time the employees are entering or exiting the warehouse. b) On or about June 1, 2016, employer failed to ensure that the fixed industrial stairs that had four or more risers to Warehouse Building 200 was equipped with stair railings on each open side, exposing employees to fall hazards every time the employees are entering or exiting the warehouse. c) On or about June 1, 2016, employer failed to ensure that the fixed industrial stairs that had four or more risers to Warehouse Building 195 was equipped with stair railings on each open side, exposing employees to fall hazards every time the employees are entering or exiting the warehouse. d) On or about June 1, 2016, employer failed to ensure that the fixed industrial stairs that had four or more risers to Warehouse Building 203 was equipped with stair railings on each open side, exposing employees to fall hazards every time the employees are entering or exiting the warehouse. e) On or about May 31, 2016, employer failed to ensure that the fixed industrial stairs that had four or more risers to Warehouse Building 210 was equipped with stair railings on each open side, exposing employees to fall hazards every time the employees are entering or exiting the warehouse.
