29 CFR 1926.800(j)(1)(iii)(A): The atmosphere in all underground work areas was not tested quantitatively for carbon monoxide, nitrogen dioxide, hydrogen sulfide, and other toxic gases, dusts, vapors, mists, and fumes as often as necessary to ensure that permissible exposure limits prescribed in 1926.55 are not exceeded. Jobsite: The company performed no air monitoring to assess employee exposure to hydrogen sulfide and other toxic gases likely to be present due to leaking sewer lines.
