29 CFR 1926.1405(b): Pins (top or bottom) on boom sections located between the pendant attachment points and the crane/derrick body were removed (partly or completely) when the pendants are in tension: Two pins on a 25 foot long head section of a 100 foot long boom span were removed while the pendants were in tension between the pendent attachment point on the head section, and the crane body of a Grove Lattice Boom Crane, Model #84150G.
