29 CFR 1910.23(c)(1): Open-sided floors and/or platforms four feet or more above adjacent floor or ground level were not guarded with standard railings (or equivalent): a. Facility yard - On or about January 15, 2014, employees who operated a wood grinder system were required to access the following open sided elevated platforms: 1) CAT engine platform 2) Sorting station platform (east) The elevated platforms were not provided with a standard guard railing on all open sides thereby exposing employees to hazards associated with falls.
