29 CFR 1910.132(a): Protective equipment was not used when necessary whenever hazards capable of causing injury and impairment were encountered: In the cylinder shop and chrome shop, employees involved in chromium electroplating and plating support activities handle hazardous chemicals, such as, but not limited to, chromic acid flakes, chromium plating solution, caustic soda, and Anokleen. The employer failed to enforce the use of personal protective equipment to prevent employees from receiving injuries to their skin and eyes.
