29 CFR 1910.146(c)(1): The employer did not evaluate the workplace to determine if any spaces were permit-required confined spaces: (a) Scrap Drying Pit - The employer did not identify the scrap drying pit as a permit-required confined space, and required employees to enter the space to clean, on or about January 11, 2013. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and state employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
