29 CFR 1910.177(g)(1): The employer did not ensure that employees removed the valve core to completely deflate the tire before demounting single piece rim wheels: a) Throughout facility: The employer did not establish and instruct employees on safe operating procedures for removing the valve core to deflate tires before demounting, on or about 4/9/12. NOTE: THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
